I know this question gets asked ad nauseum....
BUT..... I'm looking for a new protein shake/drink to mix things up a bit. So far I like Unjury chocolate. I have tried the Nectar roadside lemonade, but I find the protein smell is overpowering. I can drink it diluted, but not happily.
I know everyone's taste buds are different, but since you ladies are all such pals, have you found there are some that you all agree are pretty tasty?
And what is your coffee protein drink of choice?
Thank you! And sorry to be hogging the board today!

IDS vanilla-cinnamon, definitely, for my protein coffee. I get it from Vitalady.com . I mix the protein slurry with 1/2 & 1/2 (in my case) and then add brewed coffee over top. You have to keep the protein at or below 130 degrees.

I was using GNC vanilla until my Nectar latte got here but it is my favorite.
I had to choke down the roadside lemonade but I like the lemon tea. Actually, I seem to be able to do just about any chocolate I have found. Just can't do the fruit flavors very well. I'm going to try the lemon tea hot today and will let you know.

I love the Nectar fuzzy navel and red grapefruit - but not sure I would have tolerated them well within 6 months after surgery. Iv'e found my taste buds have gone back to normal now. I love the Nectar Truffly chocolate - mixes very smoothly and is very good. Unjury chocolate is good too (but I find its a bit pricey). I didn't care that much for the roadside lemonade either. Try mixing some crystal lite (mix up the flavors) with it - that will definitely help.
If you like coffee and cappuccinos, Nectar has a latte flavored cappuccino protein - just mix with ho****er (below 130 degrees) and enjoy - is very yummy! It has decaf coffee in it.
You can get samples too from Vitalady. That may be the way to go - that way you can try several different kinds wtihout investing money in tubs you may not like.

I used to be very picky; if I can smell it, I can't drink it. Now I manage better. In my cupboard, I have syntrax nectar chocolate and vanilla which I only drink if mixed with other things. I also have both flavors of Click. I often mix one scoop of Click with a scoop of the syntrax and serve warm, like a hot chocolate type drink. I often mix my protein with half soymilk and half water to up the protein and calorie-count (I sometimes realize I haven't eaten for eight or nine hours.... goes with the career, I'm afraid). I also have Labrada ready-to-drink "milkshakes" which are tolerable, easy, and pack a whopping 40g protein in 17 ounces. I have been known to drink Isopure (the clear, fruity ones), and some are okay (pineapple, mango), some are bad (melon, grape), and some are gag-worthy (whatever the blue one is). I drink EAS RTD carb control in a pinch.
I've made some of these, so if you're feeling experimental, try Shelly's protein shake recipes here: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-favorite-protein-shake-recipes.html

It is quite pricey but I allow myself 1 per day..... Isopure Zero Carb (in the glass bottles in the refrigerated section at Vitamin Shoppe). Yes, it is $3.69 a bottle but it has 40 g protein, no sugar, no carbs and the whole bottle is 160 calories. I usually drink half before my morning walk (schedule will change when I return to work) and divide the other half throughout the day. I can justify this by thinking of what I did spend on eating out 3-4 times a week. My favorite flavors are Alpine Punch and Blue Raspberry.
Sorry, this doesn't address the coffee aspect but this drink gets me moving and makes me have energy.
Blessings,
Kat70
P.S. I do recycle the glass bottles,
