Thanks, Toni :)  Wow, I hardly recognized you!  You were the first person to write me good luck wishes for my surgery. ;)   It's nice to know so many people have this problem.  I knew I was in good company.  I like your suggestions.  I will just have to be stronger in my willpower.

Welcome Kathy.  I can really get caught up in OH.  I get on facebook, but nothing like OH.  I just have to really try and limit it when I'm at work to my lunch break.  I could read on here all day long.  I try to get on at night just to catch up and to post the rest of my days eating on the Menus and Miles.  I have a laptop and I bring it to the living room to be social and I don't bring the plug so when the power runs out I'm through for the night!!  Works for me.  If I stay on too long, DH starts complaining.

I think having something else to do maybe outside might help.  I like to read so I always have several books at home that I can read on when my OH time is up.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Linda- You have figured out a great strategy!  Whenever I see the low battery signal on my laptop, I start scrambling for the plug!  Definitely junkie behavior!  I'm just going to force myself to get a grip and close the lid of this darn thing and get busy living my life again!

One thing I might do that would kill two birds with one stone...(aw, poor birdy...you know what I mean!)      I need to start writing down what I eat, along with weaning myself off this computer.  So I will start posting to Roz's daily menus and miles not only my daily intake of food, but my computer progress as well!  Then I will have to be accountable and it will be there on display for all of you to see.  Nowhere to hide with that strategy!   I like it! ;)

Interesting ideas!  I love the idea of a daily post for "bookending"!  If I could tackle one 20-30 minute task a day (clean out one drawer, sort one stack of books or magazines, deep clean one part of my kitchen or bathroom, etc.) then I could really get somewhere!
