French Quarter and All That Jazz!
I've been to NOLA four times since April. I would definitely recommend going to Cafe Du Monde for a decaf iced coffee. Last time I was there, I saw the actor from the movie White Chicks--it was pretty cool. I would also recommend Court of Two Sisters for a weekend brunch. Great food and terrific ambience. I also liked shopping on their open air market. I did a carriage ride but it was a total rip off! The architecture alone is simply beautiful. You can have a great time just wandering around--thats what we did--the live street music is terrific!!
Have fun!!

WOW!! Look at that ticker of yours. You've done so awesome!!
Last night my son told me that he had the best brunch ever in NO, but didn't say where. I bet that's where it was... the Court of Two Sisters.
I travel a lot and the architecture is always what grabs me the most. I'll skip the carriage ride and just keep walking.

I use to have a time share in New Orleans...so much to do...depends on what you like to do....your Hotel will have lots of brochures of sites to see. There is a walking tour of the French Quarter. A few of my favorites: Pat O'Brians piano bar...great music, Jackson Square...street acts, musicians, mimes, streeet dancers, artists, and the location of Cafe Du Monde (out door cafe on the square)...if you dare, have ONE bite of a binnet (donnut) with powdered sugar and theircoffee (but coffee has chickory...dark, very strong and rich...I love it, some don't), Court of Two Sisters for a fancy meal....a ton of places to eat...good gumbos WL friendly; I also have enjoyed alll the Plantation tours.
Have a great time.
Have a great time.
Jane, great minds.... I've been thinking gumbo gumbo gumbo! The good thing is that Zach and I always share so I get to have bites of different things that way. We always walk at least 10 miles a day and work out so I get to eat a little more because I'm hungrier than sitting at a desk at home.
