Hello everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. I have been progressing just fine. I am 12 weeks out as of tuesday and I am still unable to eat much of anything. I was just wondering for you all that are further along in the process if it gets better over time. I am only able to get down about 4-5 bites of anything at all. My protein ins fine and I am not trying to snack on anything that would be indulgent.

Take all

Glad things are going well. Things will get easier as time goes on. I'm not sure how long it takes for the VSG sized sleeve though.

Hi Gina thanks. Yeah I am not trying to pig out or anything at all I just want to take in enought to where I dont have to eat again in 1.5 hours. that is annoying right now. I dont have any vomit episodes or anything anymore with the reflux so that is good. Its funny to say but I just dont want my life to revolve around meal times.

Hi,

I think it takes about three months for the swelling of the sleeve to go down.  Then it's a lot easier to eat.  I've been on a plan that's eat 3x a day with no snacks.  Eat slow and chew well and you can get in a little more protein.  At three months my sleeve was pretty irritated.  I ate a lot of cottage cheese and soft things like that so that I could get in my protein without it irritating my Sleeve.

Hi thank you Lee thank you for the advice. I have been doing similiar to you eating allot of greek yogurt with honey though. I guess I will just have to continue to be patient with it and give it a little time. I probably will take a bit longer for the swelling to go down due to have bad gastritis the second month. I thought it was just me not being able to eat or something. Thank you for the tip about the swelling it gives me hope.
