"Draging my ____"

My surgery is scheduled, October 6, so I am okie dokie with that.
Pre-op Sept 30 have a list of questions..

So here is the deal... I am taking my vitimins... even bought one of the bigger holders that you can put pills in for different time of day.. so planning there will be helpfiul.

I am so freaking tired, if I did not know better, I would swear my meds are wrong. I am on thriod meds too, perhaps they are wrong.
I must admit, I have not been eating my 1,200 calories .. I am forgetting to eat. I have been drinking the Premier shakes which totally helps... but is it just that I do not have enough food in me, that I am dragging my butt?  I deserve to be slapped.
I live alone, so no one is here to remind me... pre occupied with thinking about the next two weeks I guess.
Is this just normal... is it that my system, is finally relaxed, because I know I am having surgery?
Imput gang slap it on me, I need it.
No soda.. I am drinking my water... maybe I need more...  thoughts?

Go eat!  You don't want to drag butt for the next two weeks.  Take your vits, hydrate and eat.  Go out walking.  Take care of yourself so that you'll be well rested and nourished for surgery.

I agree with Lee....go eat!!  Especially PROTEIN...stockpile as much as you can in your body.  After surgery it will be hard to get what you need.  Maybe a big steak, hamburger (get some iron in there too!)   Your body will need the energy and nutrition for surgery and recovery!

Don't go crazy but enjoy food all you can ....it won't be enjoyable for a couple of weeks after surgery!   Best wishes on the 6th!!  You won't regret it!

EAT!!!!! I was eating very well before surgery and I really miss it.  I even splurged  on a hamburger, because I was so far under the surgical weight goal. Focus on getting some good food, including veggies and fruit.

Get in your 1200 in mainly protein.  That will help but also consider your iron count.  Have you had bloodwork done?   I know thyroid meds/calcium etc.  can affect iron absorbancy...........hit the supplement  vitamin forum.    Have your blood checked to see where your iron and ferritin stores are now.  If they are low now, you're going to be hurtin in that department after surgery for sure.
You'll want to get on top of that if it is an issue.
If it's not an issue...consider the emotional impact..........going through all this is emotionally draining as well.

Good Luck!

Lee,
Where am I and how did I get here??!!  :-)
I was just replying off the start page where all of our friends posts are listed.  Glad I didn't enter a wrong neighborhood! lol.  Guess I should check where things are posted before I respond....be just like me to be sticking my nose in the DS group or something? right?  :-)
Lightweights though....I'm safe, whew!

 Hi Deb,

I don't think I've ever seen you posting here on the Light Weight forum.  I wish you'd join us.  It's a great supportive group.  This is where I generally hang out.

Heck, even if you were in the DS forum, I'm sure you'd be welcome.

So how do you respond to things from your Start Page?  I'm clueless about that.  Maybe it's something I should learn.  :)

Hi Lee,
I ve been in the lightweight a few times.  I mainly hang in the Cali forum and just follow my friends which is pretty easy.  up top go to the MY OH link/ page and when you mouse over it, it shows a pop up menu.  Under applications you click on START PAGE  and it basically shows you all the posts your friends have made.  Makes it easy to keep up with whats going on with friends on OH.....and helps me to follow in the groups I am in.  That took a while to figure out :)
