Good Morning. What changes do you make?

Just thinking about the fall and winter months coming and wondering what changes I need to make in my routine.

This fall and winter, I think I'll switch protein shakes from Nectar strawberry mousse to IDS cappuccino and add pumpkin spice to my morning protein coffees occasionally.

I need to get my flu shot soon.

Once the days are no longer in the 80s and 90s, I'll make a big pot of beef and veggie soup. Maybe I'll make a big pot of seafood gumbo soup as well. Hubby can take a small container for lunches.

My closet needs an overhaul...again. Winter weight pants and shoes for walking. I tend to walk the heels right of my work shoes due to all the walking. Oh, and gloves...

The Subaru has new tires, so I'm good there but it needs an oil change.

Labs in January, so we'll see how things look and tweak where needed.

I may add more to the list today but at least I'll have started writing things down.

Feel free to add your list and give us all some ideas. Have a great Wednesday!

Good question, Gina!  I mean, what HASN'T changed?  ;)

I'm now wearing my smallest clothes.  In 2 lbs, I will be the smallest I've been in my adult life.  This means wardrobe (and more importantly) emotional changes.  I no longer have the fat as a protective layer between me and the world.

I play an awful game on the subway these days called "who's bigger than I?" where I look around to see if there is someone larger than I am on my subway car each time I ride it.  So far, there has always been someone.  I'm actually having to adjust to the idea that I'm not the biggest one around anymore, and it's not just really large women who are bigger than I am.  I'm not fat.  Wow.

Relationships and body are changing.

Since I'm still early out, I'm not quite sure what changes to routine will need to happen.  I'm just going to keep up my diligence with exercise, food and vits.  Labs will happen in a few weeks and might need some tweaking (and will start my spreadsheet) soon.

Going to need  a new winter coat and some good snow boots to keep walking with my Buddy! My 20w coat from last year is not gonna fit!

Sign up for some ski lessons.

Thinking about going back to school to get my masters degree.

Turn 45 in January and not weigh more than 200 pounds! yeah!

Thats all I can think of right now.

Wow! There is so much I want to do, but have to put a hold on things until after my revision.

My book club just finished reading The Happiness Project and it was very inspirational. A small group of us are going to meet on a regular basis to discuss our happiness projects.

I envision a career change.

Ahh yes, changes.   Well I tend to get burned out on protein drinks after awhile, so I have to mix that up frequently.  My latest change would be my exercise.  Up until this point Ive been walking, doing upper body weights, and sweatin' to the oldies.  Well yesterday I joined a gym. Im actually going to take my first zumba class tonight. Im excited, yet nervous.  I just need to kick it up a notch to get off these last few stubborn pounds.  Happy hump day everyone!  Cindy

Whooot!!  I love me some zumba!  I hope you can love it even a 1/4 of how much I love it!  Its the only exercise that when I am out for a bit (injury or vacation, or whatever) that I do not have to talk myself into going back to!

www.dancewearsolutions.com has some great slidey sneaks too, if you decide you like it.  Easier on the knees when there is more sliding and less gripping of the sneaks!

Here in Oregon, yesterday really had a season-change feeling in the air. It was really energizing, but it did get me thinking about changes.

I'm looking forward to wearing sweaters and not worrying about my arms! I think I'll spend some time cruising the thrift stores for sweaters and jackets.

I need to decide what to do when it's icy or stormy out in the morning and I can't go running. I'm really afraid of losing momentum. With the shorter days, I don't want to end up on the couch/computer.

I am really excited to go out to the pumpkin patch to get some fun gords and pumpkins to decorate the porch especially since I just painted the house.

I am excited to not be working my evening job this fall so that I will have more time to sit down with the kids to talk about homework and school.

I am looking forward to trying my hand at some cooking. I'm not much of a cook, but I know I need to get some variety in my diet so I don't get bored and drift towards simple carbs.

I'm trying to think of ways to make the holidays more meaningful and not so much about "stuff" this year. We are trying to be better money managers and this fits right in with that goal.

This is definitely my favorite time of year!

Hello Gina...
Believe it or not, I'm still alive and kicking.  I need to do the closet change.  I have a little more time here in the south, but last year I went crazy on this boot fetish.  I had so many I had to pack them away.  I'm looking forward to bringing them out again.
OH, yea... here's the tough one, I have a friend that asked me to start walking with her in the evenings.  I've accepted.  I'd much rather walk in the cold, than that the steamy, breath sucking, summer air we have here.

 (((HUGS)))

Great post as always Gina!

I want to get the dust off of my treadmill and get back on it, now that it's cooler.  I love walking outside but up here it has rained most of September.

I will need to invest in 2-3 winter coats and trying to plan ahead to get the most bang for my buck.  The winters are long in Ontario and since I have absolutely nothing left from last year I really need to get at least one casual and one dressy.  Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.  I'm hoping to get a weekend in the US where I can get a more reasonable price and hopefully get some more variety in sf products and various high protein low carb food.

Next  :)
