"I've eaten a river of liver and an ocean of fish. I've eaten so much fish, I'm ready to grow gills. I've eaten so much liver I can only make love if I'm smothered in bacon and onions!"  M*A*S*H, Hawkeye Pierce, "Adam's Rib" episode.

Just so you know, I do not feel this way about my protein shakes or my low carb, high protein diet.  LOL  Maintenance is what it is. I take a little break on weekends but otherwise try to stay on the straight and narrow. I do feel this way about taking all the vitamins I take sometimes, but vitamins are life, so I take them.

So, what are you tired of? How do you deal with it?

I don't mind the vitamins, I did handfuls before surgery.  I am getting tired of the protein shakes and everything being white (yogurt, cottage cheese, cream soups) but I deal with it because I know in another week, it will change again and there will be some new stuff to add back in.  After 4 weeks of Optifast, I can be patient on this.

Sometimes I get tired of trying to figure out what to eat.  It is so much easier to just drink - I know that is not ok and I do eat my food.  I just make myself do it on a schedule.

Before WLS I could look at food and it would make my mouth star****ering, it no longer does that.  I understand that this will probably come back along with the hunger.  I know that carbs are going to be my problem because they are easy to get, they taste good and they go down so easy!!

I'm like Price.  I probably take about the same amount of medicine just different kinds so that has not been a big deal for me.

I'm tired of my darn scale.  I just want it to say 146 already so I can get down to the maintenance business so many of you talk about.  I want to join the club already!  This is the point where I've always given up before, well actually, long before now.  This is new territory to keep pushing through every mental/physical obstacle and keep going towards my goals.  I couldn't do this without all of you to motivate me daily.

So I'm tired of the daily plodding of having to measure every bite and calculate everything (which I know is lifelong and I'm fine with that),  and I'm NOT tired of my OH LW family!

I get tired too of thinking about food. I feel a little like I'm dieting -- thinking about what to eat all the time. I find that if I'm not prepared though, I go towards carbs. It's just the way it's going to be and it's much better than being MO.

I don't mind taking my vitamins - I think I've found a good mix that isn't a chore to take.  And - I start feeling a little sluggish if I miss a day or so.

Protein shakes are getting boring again.  I bought my chocolate and put in my coffee - but sometimes I just want a plain cup of coffee.  So I've started having a regular cup in the morning while getting ready for work, then mix my protein in my travel coffee cup when I go to work.  If I don't, I feel guilty...  which is good.  I'm going to start mixing them up a bit with my different SF syrups.

I also get tired of trying to figure out what to eat for dinner.  Lunch is ok - not a problem with it, but dinner seems such a chore.  Lately its just been taking chicken out of the freezer and baking it (love baked chicken).

I think I've done a great job staying away from carbs for several weeks now - and I rarely think about them. I DO believe I've de-carbed!!  I cringe at french fries now. I did have a very small piece of french bread last night and made into garlic bread, but that was it.  I also only consider wheat options for bread and tortillas.  Staying away from all chips and not missing them.  I do allow myself sushi with the rice - but I can't eat very many of them.

Definitely tired of protein shakes... and unfortunately it seems like I'm too busy to spice them up and use some of the recipe's that I find here. I really wish I could make them up ahead of time and keep them in the fridge, but it sounds like they 'degrade?'

Anyone know of some decent single serve pre-made shakes out there?
