Plastic surgery?????
I think some of us could use a nip or tuck somewhere, but it has a lot to do with your age, how long you were obese, etc. Oh - and whether it bothers you or not!
There are some on here that lost their weight and didn't think they needed it, but some of us that have areas that we hate and would think about it.
I had a tummy tuck 15 months after surgery. I hated my stomach hanging and flapping. I had considered going to Mexico and having it all done - but kinda glad I didn't now. At about 21 months out my weight started redistributing, so some areas don't look as bad now... it takes your body some time to "settle"...

I am having my surgery in abiut 13 days.... but from when I lost weight before... I know I am going to sag... but I am 57... you are younger.
My feeling about me= Shove the loose stuff in cute pants will work for me, wear longer shorts. Arms are another matter. I am going to save up and fix my floppy arms... that is the only thing that bothers me really. I will never be able to overlook my arms moving around... NEVER.
Hope I win the lottery!

I went into the surgery pretty sure I would not have any plastics even if I needed it. I'm 56 and even though I'm not at goal yet I look ok in clothes. I wear longer shorts and will probably get some board shorts to wear with a bathing suit top because my legs are pretty bad.
If I just had extra money, the one thing i would do would be to get some boobies!! They are almost gone and when I lay on my back they disappear. I was never large but it is really sad now.
Welcome to the LW Boards. Keep us posted on your surgery date and progress.

Hi there, welcome to the LW's...a super great bunch here. I think the factors that lead to the need for ps varies from genetics to age and much in between. I personally knew by the way the fat around my gut sat that I would need ps. I got so many stretch marks from the pregnancies ~ them kids tore my gut up. Anyways, I knew that I would have saggy jelly belly and I do now have a nice little pooch jelly belly.
I am very serious in plastics for a tummy tuck to tighten the ab muscles because they are destroyed. I would like me some new boooooobies but will be very satisfied with just the TT. I will start getting consults in a year or so. Not in a rush since this gyn surgery has literally kicked my booty so I am no where near ready for another round of "recovery".
Congrats on the start of your new journey and hope to see ya around with updates

Thank you all!!! I will continue to go to the gym, like always and keep hopping for the best after the surgery. My first aappointment is today and I am very exicited. I can't wait to get to the other side and started to feel better about myself. With this extra weight I am feeling extremelly tired with a lot pain on my lower back and legs. I will keep you up to date.
