LW's...Happy Sunday!!!

Um, I got a real late start today. I woke up early enough...8'ish but started reading my book and just got carried away with time. So I just now (about an hour ago) got up, showered, changed, and am online. I didn't even take my vits or protein earlier. Just drank my  and read.

I am not going for a walk today. Yesterday's dog training class sittin on a hard folding chair did my pelvic area in yesterday and it was angry. Ugh...so today...Sunday = REST...

What about you? Is today your rest day?

CHALLENGE ALERT!!!

What are your fitness goals this upcoming week? Name just 1 thing you'd like to accomplish this next work week.

Me?? Um, let's see...my fitness goal this upcoming week is to walk on the treadmill on a slight incline and start back up my endurance to fitness. Today concludes my 3 full weeks since my gyn surgery, so I am half way to being released. I would just like to start seeing some numbers on the treadmill proving my mileage AND I will wear my HRM so I can see calories burned.

I start back to work on Tuesday so Tues-Thurs will be evening visits at the gym. The rest of the days...I'll try in the morning.

I hope you all have a great Sunday!!

 Hi Diana!

I think you did great in taking care of yourself this morning.  How great to get time to read this morning.  I'm sorry the training class yesterday was so hard on you.

I went out for an urban walk with friends this morning.  Walked for an hour.  I'd like to walk another 30 minutes this afternoon.

I feel like I'm getting back in the saddle after being out of my office all last week.

My goal for the coming week is:

Walk the lake, 3.5 miles, once a day.
Walk 30 minutes at lunchtime
Three evenings in the gym to work out with the weight machines

Thanks Lee...

Did you go for your other walk? The storms rolling in on this side of the Sierras so it really feels like fall tonight. Hubby is gonna take the dog for a walk and I'm gonna work on dinner and a sf cake. I was thinking about adding some protein powder to it to boost some value so we'll see..lol

Sounds like you have great goals for the week ahead.

I had planned on 2 walks today but it didn't happen. I did do the barn work by myself both times today and take a Walmart grocery trip.  That wore me out.
My goal for the week is to get in 2 ten minute walks each day.

I had an awesome and busy day. Around 4:00 went running with my buddy -- we went 7 miles and a bit of it was in the pouring down rain. At least I had a hat on. I will avoid wearing full-length cotton sweats in the rain in the future. I was stepping on my pants on the way back! it was my longest run yet and we went on our hilly route -- finished it in 1 hour 30 minutes. Not bad considering some of the steep hills.

MY CHALLENGE: I am kind of forced into training for a 1/2 marathon to keep up with my running buddy. She is running her second half-marathon at the end of October. So, within a month and a half, I suppose I will be right around that same level. That's exciting to me. We decided that beginning November, we will begin full-marathon training just to see if we can do it. Won't sign up for anything yet.
