What a wonderful day!~

I wish you an amazing journey. It is so worth it. I know that God has had his hands in my journey. I have prayed for years for a cure from obesity and the hold that it has had on my life. I saw first hand through my mother what was ahead of me if I did nothing. Once my doctor got the ball rolling it was like I was on the fast track. Even in all my complications after surgery God was there drawing us closer to him. We put our faith in him. I feel like I have been healed from the inside out. Today I weighed 111. When I had surgery I weighed 193. I won't lie I do miss some of my favorite foods but nothing taste as good as I feel. My marriage and my life have reaped the benefits of the sacrifice. We have always been happy but the number of days that I "DONT FEEL GOOD" are few and far between now. My fibromyalgia is under control without medication. I have some flare ups but not nearly as many as I had before surgery. They don't last nearly as long either. Congrats on your 40th anniversary. I pray we will get there! It warms my heart that my experience has given you hope. To God be the glory for all the great things he has done.

"To God be the Glory, great things He has done," is one of my favorite hymns as well as one of my favorite phrases.   And I decided to start this journey of self improvement after my mother passed away in early 2008.  I used a very small inheritance to start working with a personal trainer and when I proved to myself I could stick with that... the journey to weight loss surgery began.   I watched my mother just give up on life and decide to die and I vowed that I WOULD NOT do that.  A wonderful husband, 3 great children and now 3 wonderful grandchildren are just too much to live for and I intend to do so to the very best of my ability.

Thanks again for inspiring me.
