why so many unnecessary gallbladder removals post op = makes me so mad
Well, I am just SOL (surely out of luck) on this one. I asked about the gallbladder preop and he said if it looked ok then he'd leave it in. I was only given previcid as RX after surgery. I trust my surgeon and believe that if he felt I needed it he'd prescribe it and I would take it.
I have lost all my weight with the exception of the last pesky 10#'s so the rapid loss is done, I am 9 months post op and no problems either. So...I guess I will have to keep an eye on it.
If I was still within the window of opportunity, I would ask him...I'm always too late...lol
Thanks for posting this info...others need to be aware so they can ask questions too.

I asked my surgeon about that too. She said her partner prescribes it, but that she didn't. I believe her reasoning was that she didn't believe in prescribing medication for a problem I don't have. I completely trust her judgement......I suppose at some point if I need it out, I need it out. I'm okay with that. Just another one of those things where there are some inconsistencies.
