Fitness Challenge - September 18

Did you get your last walk in?? 

I did my walking today via shopping. LOL both my pocket book and pants should be much looser...lol

BTW ~ great job on the walks. How is your recovery coming along? 

Dianna, I have two naughty pups too. One is scared of everyone and one acts like he wants to kill everyone and everything we pass on our walks. AND they are pugs. Of course if someone does approach, he starts licking them like crazy!

I did a 20 minute biggest loser dvd this morning and then 20 minutes of yoga.

My terrier mix, she is genuinely curious to meet people and dogs but like to do it "her" way. One time in a pet store, she walked up to a pit bull that was sniffing something away from her direction, she approached him to 'sniff' him...he let her for a brief second and when he went to go 'sniff' her...BOY OH BOY she howled, barked, and sent out all the sirens and freaked out. I couldn't help but laugh because of how it went down. I told her that was rude of her but hey, she didn't get it...lol

So, I have a feeling my dog will be throwing a tantrum (barking/chattering/howling like the terrier she is) all through next class. Until she gets used to the dogs...lol 

Ok, so back to the exercise...awesome on the variety today...

Hope those classes help!  I have a Jack Russell Terrier, Shelby (she's photographed on my profile) and I LOVE her.  There are some ways in which she's very well trained (for example, she's great off-leash, even in NYC) she does her duties on command, etc.  BUT, her favorite place in the world is on the elevator where she has a captive audience.  She'll stand up (on someone if she has to) and do tricks, hoping that people will dote over her.  Most of the time they do, but not everyone wants a terrier jumping on them...

Anyway, I walked shopping, too.  Needed some sweaters and walked a mile to a farther H&M than the two in my neighborhood to buy them.  Also walked all around Short Hills Mall looking for a pair of fall boots.  Walked way west into Chelsea and then far east into Murray Hill, and then to work late last night to get some things ready for today.  It was a beautiful, productive day of walking.

BTW, did all of my walking in my new boots!  It's such a delight when we find good, cute walking shoes with a sexy heel to boot...

I looked at these boots in Macy's the other day!  I'm so glad they're comfortable and that you can walk in them.  Me?  I haven't worn heels since I fractured my ankle on Thanksgiving 2007, having major surgery on in in July 2008.  My surgeon did a great job and told me he'd come after me if I wore heels and wrecked his great work.  Maybe when I get down to normal weight and wouldn't put so much stress on it I might try again.  I'm just so scared to do anything that might impede my daily exercise.

 Oh no, Lee!  These are not the boots for your return.  They are incredibly comfy (they have all the requisite Uggs cushioning) but they're also on a platform.  I almost twisted my ankle like 4 times in the course of the night.  (The things we put ourselves through for fashion!)
  I know I'm ridiculous.  But don't let me draw you into my insanity!!! ;)

 No Problem.  Heading straight back to my sandals and sneakers.  :)
