Fitness Challenge - September 18

LW's...good day!! Saturday!!! 

Any special weekend plans for fitness?

I will be joining a doggy training class for my doggie. She's 2 years old and so unmannered its too funny. She's a small dog and tends to get away with it because she's so damned cute!! Well we can't have her 'unsocial' towards people and dogs. She's the perfect size dog for travel and lap so we want to be able to take her out everywhere we can when we can. So, today we go to class.

Later I will be walking my usual lap. I am no where near fitness clearance yet and am slightly depressed after reading some forums on the procedures I've had...ugh. Seems peeps only post negative stuff and not positive stuff. Anyways, I digress. I am going to still take it easy for next 3 weeks minimum. 

So, someone has to exercise for me too...lol....any volunteers??

I walk at work. Our office is in the burbs and right along side a manmade lake. So, I walk about 15 minutes every hour or so. If some folks can go out and smoke every hour or so for 15 minutes, surely I can go out and walk.

I walked Newton around the house a couple of times but really wouldn't call it exercise.

Awesome!! I can only squeeze in 2 walks if able during my workday.

 Hello Team!

I'm back from Denver where I learned that lack of consistent exercise, plus some snacking will quickly put TWO pounds on my body.  Great lesson learned and I started back yesterday in the carb free zone. I not only missed everyone, but missed the accountability that we offer each other here in the LW forum.

Diana, that's often the case where people post horror stories vs. success stories.  Don't let them freak you out.  You started out very strong pre-op and you will heal quickly and wonderfully.  Have confidence in your body but take it slow and pay attention to what your surgeon told you about exercise.

It's a rainy day here.  I started my day with a 3.5 mile walk around the lake in the drizzle.  it felt great to be moving again.  I don't know what else I'll do today.  

Diana, do you want to keep starting us for awhile?  You do such a great job of it.  I love reading your posts.  You motivate everyone so beautifully!

Hey LEE!!!!   welcome back sunshine!! I hope you had a great time. 

Yah, that whole lack of consistent exercise and snacking will do me in too. Oh wait, it has for me during this recovery crap phase...lol 
Eh, I'll bounce back strong but it is frustrating. I do like the accountability factor. 

I had a weak moment last night regarding my 'healing' process and feel much better again after the day is done. I trust my surgeon and need to have faith in my body and the healing process. 

I would love to keep us going if you want. You are a great motivator too!! 

So, sounds like you are back on track babe!!

YAY Diana!  This fitness challenge was your baby from the first day.  I just took over while you were battling stress.  It sounds like this is perfect for you to take it back for as long as you want.  I'm just so happy you're back posting with us everyday!!
