Body Image Obsessive - in Maintenance

 Hey Jody,

I missed this thread because it took me awhile to catch up after coming back from Denver.

My first thoughts are breathe, breathe and then breathe some more.  You've had a lot going on in your life the last few months.  Tummy tuck, BF breakup, new Grammy.  Lot's of adjustments to handle.  When I read what you're saying about your thighs, what goes off for me is "negative magnet".  For me that's what I focus on that gets all of the negative energy swirling around in my brain.  It might not even be the most important thing, but that's where the negative energy goes.

My suggestions:

Love your body.  It's hard to feel hatred when you're in loving mode.  Talk nice to your thighs.

Quit worrying about "what if" your thighs get bigger.  Good chance they won't and you will have wasted all this marvelous time worrying.

Lastly,  if it's bothering you, invest in some sessions with a personal trainer that will give you a routine designed to tone your upper thighs.  Beware - I see lots of lunges and squats in your future.

Mostly Jody, spend time appreciating how lucky you've been on this journey.  I hope that you get to see yourself as the rest of us see you.... a fabulous, fit, gorgeous woman!
