Menus and Miles Wed. Sept. 15th

 one and a half scoops of isopure in tea 

half an apple sliced 

homegrown brocoli n cheese stew one bowl  ( fat free cheddar cheese , some real smoked gouda , ff milk , butter buds and mucho homegrown brocccoli tops  yum !! ) 

 2 pots ( so 2 cups ) of popcorn with tons of butter buds 

homegrown tomato / onion/ chickpea salad with balsamic vinegar 

spaghetti sauce ( hoemmade ) with eggplant n chicken parmesan (pound flat an/ or slice thin, coat with parmesan shake n bake , bake in oven,,  then top with tomato sauce and grated fatfree mozzarell n a little parmesan ) 

working on eight full glasses of water - so far three   unfortunately  the antibiotics are making me even more nauseous than usual 

tiny bit of dried fig cake  ( maybe 4 figs )  wouldn't wantto get constipated while im forcedto sit around!   I really would LIKE to walk

i have been nibbling on figs too....what about those teas that help things move?? I wonder if drinking that every other night or so would help...hhhmmm 

I totally hear ya on the walking part. Ugh, feels like prison huh?? being restricted in activities...lol

Nectar Lemon Tea, haven't tried that yet

Walked to the mail box and back.  It's been a good day.  I have paperwork I have to do today so everyone gets paid next week so I need for it to be a good day.
Tomorrow is my 1 wk check-up, drain will be removed.  More liquids added.  I'm hoping for some yogurt or something a little more substancial although I really haven't been hungry.

Unjury makes a really good chicken broth.  It's great to just drink or to cook with.

Are you getting all of your liquids in?  That's really important.

Let us know how your appointment goes.  I would think you might get moved to puree food.

That would be wonderful but I'm pretty sure it won't happen.  This group are really conservative and my pureed class isn't until Sept 28.  I may not make it until then on liquid unless they add some pretty sustancial liquids. 
Liquids aren't any problem.  Water has tasted better than anything else and I wasn't ever a big water drinker, but I won't complain.

That seems like a really long time, but you made it through all those weeks of optifast so you shouldn't have any trouble with this.

Miles none too pooped after working 14 hours yesterday. Need to walk Buddy though

Please don't take this as a lecture....I just care!

Are you still on puree food.  I hope you got a lot more protein in after you posted.  Next time try adding Chocolate, Vanilla, or Unflavored to your hot chocolate.

With the RNY we should be cosuming at least 60g and since we don't absorb all of the Protein from food you need to be getting in a lot higher than 60g.  I drink Protein Drinks because then I can eat what I want (healthy food).   I don't count the protein in food because we don't know how much we are actually absorbing so all my Protein in food is just a bonus. At the beginning I tried to count the food Proteins but I felt like I was on WW again and counting points.

Protein is fuel to our heart, muscles, organs, and hair.  It should be one of our priorities.
