Good Morning. Off to tanning I go...

I've already had a long morning. Newton woke me at 2:30 because he was afraid of the thunder and I got up at 3:30 after trying to get him to settle down for an hour. [sigh] Anyway, both dogs were ready to go out and be fed at 3:30. After I got them settled again, I crashed on the living room couch for a couple of hours. Why is it they'll sleep when I'm on the couch but not at 2:30 when I'm in my bed sound asleep?

I hope everyone has a great Sunday. I'm off to the tanning salon on this rainy morning. Ahh....

Tanning sounds good on this cold rainy grey fall day!  Enjoy!

I hear ya about the dogs, they are perpetual 2 year olds! It's all about getting to the mommy!
Enjoy your tan, and probably a quick lil nap too!
Waiting for hubby to get back today. Just a little housework and laundry. Looks like rain, hesitating to take Buddy for his walk.

We had a wet, raw almost fall-like day yesterday.  Today it will get up to 74 and be sunny.  I can definitely take that!

Mom and baby had a bad night.  Seems baby doesn't want to nurse, but yesterday did a good job with it.  So they have to spend a lot of "skin time" together today.  That means I'm going to have to do something to keep myself busy.  I'm definitely going to be going out for a walk.

No shopping - the credit card bill came in...

Ok - maybe Salvation Army if I do... they have a great one here!  Only problem with it is, the clothes are all by type and color.  The sizes are all mixed in together.  So if I'm looking for jeans, I have to go through 3-4 HUGE racks of them - and they're packed so tight... not fun really.   I'll probably go looking for some tops if I do.  I'm set with jeans and pants.

Hope you get a nap today!  Sounds like a good day for one.  I may try to get out and sit in the sun a bit and read a book.

Tanning sounds good...maybe I'll look into that since I lost out on most of the summer opportunities. :(

Other than keeping color all year round...are you finding any other benefits to the tanning??

Some say it boosts your vitamin D. My surgeon encourages it for that. All I do is 8 minutes on the older bed, that lets the UVB light through, once a week. I also cover my face with a towel. I mean I'm out walking everyday, my face doesn't need any more tan or wrinkles. I really like keeping a little color all year. I have no reservations about wearing shorts in warm weather.

Hi Gina,
We had the storm last night before bed time.  Little Willie had to get a pill to calm him down.  He is so pitiful when it storms-he just paces and barks and can't sit still.  Our vet gave us some medicine to give him to help him calm down.  He is almost 4 years old and his little chin is totally white(he is brown).  He is in the recliner now sound asleep.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Newton has never done that before. The thunder must have startled him or maybe there was lightening too and I didn't notice it. I did hear the thunder at some point before he started clawing at the mattress wanting to come up.

Our older dog is limping around again. The vet saw her Thursday and said her joints in the back are a mess and the front aren't much better. So, we carry her up and down stairs a lot. She's at least 13 years old.

Willie does it everytime it storms.  If we are asleep he comes out from under the cover and wants to crawl on my head and up and down on top of me until he wakes me up.  He just shivers and shakes the whole bed.

It is sad when they get older and start having problems.  We love our little daschuands and they can have alot of back problems if they get overweight or jump alot.  Willie has not had back problems yet, but the one we had before him did.  She had to get shots every so often for hers and we had to try and keep her from jumping.  Hope the vet can do something fo yours.  Is it arthritis?
