Got my roller skates....!

Well.. I bid on EBAY and got a very used pair of regular roller skates.
They are a bit tight, I have a wide foot, but I still think I can work with them. Put them on.. gosh.. I forgot you have to keep your knees bent..lol
Tomorrow I plan on going outside and getting use to them. I had forgotten how heavy they are....I an not doing inline skates... not yet.

I know we have a up coming roller derby gal on here... so I am sure she can appreciate my wanting to get back in shape... and skating will be a way to do so.
When I am sure of my skating... my dogs are coming with... now they can step up their pase... !
I have felt so guilty about not taking them when I have my granddaughter... but if she is on her bike...I will keep up with her.. and the dogs and I will be getting exercise to boot!

So for 10 bucks... plus shipping I am now roller skating outside for one of my workouts!!

OH how FUN!!!! Enjoy them and keep us updated....

 Yay !!  

But make sure U practice STOPPING many ways before U get out and have to confront a hill and traffic though , OK ?  ( and kneepads even the construction ones U may have in Ur garage help a LOT in case U feel the need to fall a few times )   

There are great videos of how to stop in 4 wheel skates on youtube - look up rollerderby  techniques .........

I know , I "T" stop and if all else fails the stop on the front.

Now I can't wait to get back on ice... for that I am so darn picky... have to order my skates... I had Reidell but I will see what will fit me now days........ I am thinking of Oakland Ice Center Pro shop... or the Dublin Ice Arena... here locally, They have  pro shop... I use to love to ice skate..! I was on a adult drill team!!

wowowow im dying to buy a pair of "regular skates"
the one with 4 wheels on the ground i never thought to look there im not an ebayer but im sure gonna try now have fun and becareful get urself some knee pads
