Fitness Challenge - September 10th
Who's Movin today??
I want to report on yesterday's hike. It turned out to be much longer than we planned. We went for 2.5 hours. The first 1.5 hours were steep uphill. We had to keep going up because I was afraid my ankle would really complain coming back down that steep grade. We didn't really have a clue where the trails went so were on trust mode that we'd find a trail up there that would head back down into the valley. I was so proud of myself. The hills were steep and other than 2, 30 second rests, I just kept going. YAY heart and lungs!!! We did finally come to a trail that we hoped would take us back down. When we got to the car, we were a little over 2.5 hours from when we left. I think/hope that I'm really going to feel it in my tush/upper thighs. I hope that these hills will help left what I see falling back there. :)
I'm going for an easy day today. I think an hour or more of walking will make me happy and keep my body singing happily along.

Wow, good job on the hike, Lee! That sounds like a killer!
I'm taking it easy today -- I may get in a decent walk. I went to a fitness class and yoga class last night. I really think the stretching in the yoga class helped my muscles not to be so still today. I have a long run planned for the morning. I may just exercise my arm tonight with a glass of wine. :)

Lee that sounds like a wonderful hike!!
Today I am just focusing on being a bit more mobile since the gyn took out a few sutures yesterday. How liberating it felt...lol I can actually sit down now without that terrible pain. Unfortunately, I feel the other 'tuned up areas' now. lol oh well, can't win for trying damned it.
Today I will go get my nails and toes done today...go to the grocery store and do some errands and that's it. My daily routine ends with a nice bath soak, sitting on the heating pad, tylenol, and tv!! So, that's it for today. :)
