Menus and Miles Friday Sept. 10th
I can not get my menu to edit...there will probably be 2 of them later in the day...LOl
DGD calmed down at about 2 1/2 so we are hoping Houston kicks in soon. He used to be my calm one and she was always picking on him so I guess this must be pay back time. The bad thing is that he is so much stronger than her. She is a dainty little thing.

Morning everyone!
Today is Friday!! Whoo hoo. I'm off work for the next several weeks for recovery...so why so excited?? Well, today I have an appt with my nail tech for gel fills, pedi, and gel toes. I have never gotten the toes done with gel so this will be fun. I also gotta stop by my son's hs and pay all his fees...oh joy.
I did great yesterday with fiber grams...27 total. Yay me. I hit close to 1200 calories though so not excited about that. I need high fiber low calorie options. All suggestions welcomed...
B - coffee w/added fiber (3g fiber)
S - oatfit oatmeal w/raisins (4g/145 cal/4g fiber) 1/2 peach (60 cal/2g fiber)
S - protein shake (35g/170 cal/3g fiber)
L - 1 chicken taco (8g/270 cal/9g fiber)
D - tuna w/sliced pickles & all bran crackers (30g/335 cal/5g)
S - sugar free fudge pop (1g/60 cal/5g fiber)
ETA: Finished up menu and totals. I feel great about meeting the fiber count but not so much on the calorie totals. Protein is good too. I'll do better tomorrow. I really need to beef up the water intake too...always adjusting huh....oh well :)
Protein: 84g (goal 100g) Calories: 1122 (1000) Fiber: 27g (25g) Carbs: 139g
Vitamins: All done for the day
Water: 96oz goal only made 64 oz total... :(

My DD said children's Fiber gummies work really good. Maybe you should try those. When I eat carbs to get in Fiber it does raise up my calories, but it also makes me crave carbs.

I must admit that I cheated and went to carbs for fiber...I know I can look at raw fruits and veggies but I had the oatmeal so it is ok. I have ground flax seed in my fridge and wondered about that but it is 60 calories per 2 T but it has 4g of fiber. hhhmmm the choices...
I do not crave the carbs but don't like the higher calorie count...still tweaking the formula here...lol

Hi Mara, I am trying to get the last 10#s off so I would like to stay within 1000'ish calories. I am not burning off much calories during this recovery period from the surgery last monday so I don't like the higher calories. If I was more active and working out, 1200 calories would be ok...
I literally sit on my bum most of the day and expend very little energy. I have another 4 weeks of this so I think I need to be careful in calorie intake.
Otherwise, on normal healthy days, 1200 calories is a good goal for me. Still feel good at 1000'ish though. I know I am babbling...it's what I do best

You are right..it's best to figure it into your plan for the day. If you didn't plan ahead you would probably having all your calories and then the wine would be on top of those.
