It's a Miracle! I actually finished an entire protein shake.

OK, so it took me 2 days to do it but I did. I never ever thought I would see the day that it took me 2 days to finish 11ozs of fluid.

Back to your previously scheduled support!!
Have a great day.

Congratulations!!  I started mixing up 8 oz and splitting into am and pm doses, but a few days ago, I just used 4 oz of water and using 2 sample packages/day, which helped to increase the protein intake. I've been using Vitalady samples, since they are 1.5 scoops and have about 34-36 oz of protein per package. Sometimes it is difficult to get the protein down. I have also mixed vanilla protein with yogurt, which has helped me to meet the daily protein goals.

Sounds like you are doing great!!!!

YAY!  Good job getting it in.    My program didn't use protein supplements so I didn't worry about protein until I got to the pureed stage.  I concentrated on hydrating during the full liquid stage and ate greek yogurt to get in some protein.

I think you and Gail are doing great!

Lee, there is no way to get in enough protein during the full liquid stage without using supplements. Greek yogurt and cottage cheese are about the highest protein containing foods that one can eat during this stage. Thank heavens that it is only 2 weeks!!!!

Hydration is the key and SF popsicles have been my friend.

I haven't busted out the greek yogurt yet..I heard somewhere on here that people mix cheesecake pudding mix in the yogurt? Sounds almost sinful.

Yes - I tried to do that the other day but couldn't find any SF cheesecake pudding.  Not sure if they make it or not, but since I had RNY I dump on sugar so I didn't take my chances.  It would have been ok since you only mix in a few spoonfuls at the most... but I've got it so ingrained in my head that I don't do sugar, I just walk away.  Guess that's a good thing, huh?  I'm afraid to start experimenting with more sugar in case I can tolerate it better now!

Is the protein chocolate?  You may want to take a look at the protein hot chocolate thread that Lee started today.  That is a great way to get your protein in (it works with vanilla too).  Very easy to get down.

Yes, they do make SF cheesecake pudding mix - I love it with my chocolate protein and cherry SF syrup.  It's wondrous!

And Tabitha's mom - congratulations!
