I don't want to whine....but
I really want to get rid of a few more pounds and it feels like it's impossible. I almost didn't post because I know I lost super fast and lots of people would kill to have the loss I have. Any advice on how to get these last few pounds off quick? Do I need to up my calories again? I have been a little on the low side. Does everyone lose slower when they get towards the end? I have never hit a real stall, so this might be it. Who knows. I'm done rambling and griping, any advice is appreciated.
Shannon, I totally know that you work out! You're my hero!
What I'm suggesting is a switch of routine. Keeping up the running, but incorporating a totally different set of movements. What I've been learning is that our bodies are very clever, and they will reach a point of comfort with a certain type of workout. That's when it's a good idea to possibly incorporate something like longer movements (i.e. swimming or dancing) that can compliment your running.
Is that part of what you're up to?

Lol! I think I will up my calories. It is right about a week now. I guess I just got used to my fast losing and need to be patient. The last pound I lost was painfully slow, a few ounces at a time. I have pretty much lost 14 pounds a month, 11 last month, and only "stall" 8 days a month around my period. The rest has been steady losing, so this is new and frustrating to me.
Shannon - its VERY normal to slow down to almost a standstill when you get very close to where you want to be. Just keep doing the right things. Since you've been fortunate to NOT have stalls I can see how this may be frustrating to you, BUT you can do it.
I think it may be a good idea to switch up your workouts a little, and upping your calories by adding another protein drink, etc will help. But - don't expect to see immediate results. The last 5-10 lbs are typically the hardest to get off and can take awhile to cooperate. You may see 2-3 lbs a month now versus 2-3 lbs a week.
I hit my goal and was losing pretty consistently until then - then BAM - I STOPPED! Who'd have figured I would just quit when I hit that magic number - then 4 months later I lost 3 more lbs. A month later I lost 2 more. I didn't change my eating either. It was 10 lbs higher than my Dr's goal, but I knew I'd be comfortable there.
Now I've gained a few of those lbs back and am trying to get them off, and maybe a little more.
