For those of you that are taking bariatric advantage lozenges, be aware that the dosing on the lozenges has changed,  I haven't bought any in about 3 months but the past 2 times I have bought them they were 400mg of calcium citrate and 100mg of vitamin D3.  Well, this time I noticed on the front of the bottle it says 500mg of calcium citrate and 300mg of vitamin D3.  I really dont' care about the D3 since my D3 levels are high enough but I wasnt' happy about the increase in calcium citrate.  This really screws up my dosing - now I have to take it 4 times per day to get my 2000mg per day.  Before I took a combination of the lozenges (400mg) and a chewies (250mg) for 650mg 3 times per day and got 1950mg per day. I was very happy taking my calcium 3 times per day and am not happy about having to increase to 4 times per day but I guess that is what I  have to do - if I take the lozenge and chewie together now that will give me 750mg and that is too much to take at one time.

Thank you for posting this info....

That is the toughest part of the vitamin regime for me is to get the right calcium citrate with magnesium/D3 and in the right dose so that we don't have to take so many doses daily...

It's tough when we cannot absorb more than 600 mg per dose....sounds like you had your routine down pat....

Again, thanks for posting the changes.

We don't absorb more than 600mg of calcium per dose?  I hadn't heard that. Thanks for the info. Lin

My nut has said 650 mg of calcium, but I suspect a lot of that is by guess and by golly.

:::sigh::: Well, given that price and quantity are staying the same, looks like I'll get 2000 calcium per day instead of between 1500-2000, again because of scheduling issues.  I just got the 4 dose per day worked out, and can't make 3 doses (with the other things I take) work without major reshuffling that will then impact other things.
