4 Months post op & doing the 5 day pouch diet
After only four months, I felt my eating was already doing a downwards slide. Even though I couldn't eat as *much* as I used when I binged, I found that I was getting hungry all the time and eating stuff I wasn't suppose to - even if it was only a little bit (like taking 3 days to eat a bag of cheesies, or having 1 peanut butter cup, or a small cone from McDonalds)
I think I was getting really lazy. My weight keeps going down, very slowly but it's still moving. Once in awhile it will go up, then take four or five days, but go down with a extra pound tagged onto it.
Anyways, I decided to do the five day pouch test as a *kick to my ass* thing. First of all, is MUCH easier then I ever thought! Mind you the first day I had a migrain so didn't feel like eating much, but I'm on day three and don't feel like eating AT ALL! I've had one coddled egg, and am now eating a can of flaked turkey with a tiny bit of ff mayo.
Has anyone else done the pouch test this early out?

No. I was about 6 months out and wanted to do it and was told by veterans I was too early out to do it. But - if it worked for you - that's great!

I am almost 10 months post RNY and no, I haven't done the pouch test. I have seen where we are too early out for it. I am all about what works for you do it...but I also encourage you to look at what you felt brought you to what you described as "getting really lazy".
I have been on the slide a few times due to personal issues and when I am not on plan, I notice it for sure. When I get back to business, I like to just track my calories and ALL food intake to see where I need to adjust. Otherwise, I'm just swinging blindfold in the dark.
You'll find a lot of support here...we all have big shoulders, great ears to listen with, and magical powers to swing critters for support!! Hang in there and I hope you post again to see how you are doing...
