I don't know how you can go a week without getting on the scale! i'm on my dang scale all the time. Don't be too hard on yourself, but get back on track! Good luck on the training, I just ran my first 5K last weekend and it was the biggest high ever. I'm training right along with you, my next race is Oct. 16th.

Congrats on the 1 pounds.  My DH loves chips and it has been a big problem for me.  He is finally getting some that I don't like as much so they are not as tempting.

Good luck with your cholesterol medicine.  I tried to quit mine about 6 moths ago and had to start them back.  We are going to try again when I'm finished losing.

You are doing a great job.  I'm a daily weigher too - I can't imagine going a whole week without weighing.

Toni...I too have been surprised when I have cheated and still lost weight, but then I go back and look at the calories for the whole day, and didn't do that bad....so maybe you weren't as bad as you think....Good luck training...

Linda, I noticed how CLOSE you are to GOAL!!  You must be so excited!!!

Good Job on all the 5K's, I wanted to do one with my daughter last year but then had issues and couldn't do it. I have been walking like crazy this last week, going and going and going....my poor dog...so I decided to try to jog last night part of it. I felt so good....hope to keep it up and do a 5k this fall or Spring! I just don't think a person can eat enough junk (amount wise) after a VSG to eat enough calories...or for me I know I can't my stomach gets way to full way to fast...even it I have a bad thing every now and then!

Hi everyone. I am 132.6 on good days and like today 133.6. OMG I could not believe it. I thought I'd gain some weight after the hospital visit last Monday. I weigh daily...I know, I know but I don't really scare that easy when it fluctuates up/down a pound.

Tomorrow I go in for the gyn post op appt. I hope all is healing well in there. I'm sure he'll release me to go back to work soon...maybe...after next week. :)  Then I go to the RNY surgeon's for a follow up on the reflux I was having a month ago. Actually, I feel much better in that area now. So....I cannot wait until tomorrow is over.

Great job on training for the 5k!! :) Oh, and chips, popcorn, and nuts are very dangerous in my house...they sit very well in the pouch. Yikes.

I cannot wait until I can run again. I wonder if I can with compression garments?? My goal is to protect the bladder sling. HHHmmm, I'll have to check it out...

Have a great day everyone!!

Congrats on the pound and the 5k race!!!

I used to blame my family for bringing chips into the house, but I realized that I was the one who brought them home the last couple of times.  I use the excuse that the kids are all coming over, but I found myself opening the bag and eating most of them.  .

It's ok to have a carby snack once in awhile, but don't let them get control.  It's really hard to break the habit especially when the scales are still moving down.

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

 Hi Toni,

I do the Wednesday morning weigh in as well.  I may weigh daily but only count the Wed since that was surgery morning.  I had a great week of 4 pounds which is more than I've shed any week since the first month.  I think it's the thyroid meds.   That said, I too ate more carbs this week, in the form of watermelon.  So how about you and me cut back on the carbs this upcoming week and see how we do.

Congrats on the 5K.  I hope the doc visit goes great.

Congrats!
Glad you still showed a loss. I guess we dont appreciate that we cant eat like we used too. I hope in the future I wont have to worry so much about enjoying something on occasion.  But I guess I didnt think about reawakening the ole carb monster, which brought me to where I am today.
Kudos to you for training for a 5 k, that is terrific!!
