Fitness Challenge - Labor Day!

 Let's move it folks!  I always think of Labor Day as the end of summer, even though it's not on the calendar.  So I'm putting on my "fall moving head".  I even bought a silk hat from the Himalayas yesterday to keep my head warm when the weather cools.  No excuses!

I'm taking that rugged hike that I did on Saturday, again this morning.  I hope to get to the pool this afternoon if I get all my errands run early enough.

What's your plan?

A hike sounds wonderful today. I may try to get one in later. This morning, I took it slow but got in a 5 1/2 mile run (jog). I took a new route and realized I like running the road much better than the track. I get so bored at the track.

 Boredom definitely is not good for exercise.  You did great with that 5.5 mile run today.  I hope I can run someday!

Hey! I just noticed I have muscle definition back in my arms. Those push-ups I've been doing are working, and my back where I was feeling weak, hasn't given me a twinge all weekend.

Might walk Newton later this afternoon. DH is out playing golf, so the afternoon is all mine.

DH and I got up and walked 3.2 miles this morning.  It was absolutely gorgeous outside. 65 or 67 degrees.  Then we came home and washed my car.  This afternoon I cleaned out my closet and took some to Goodwill and have two stacks to return to people I borrowed from.
Now I have hardly any clothes to wear!!

We are planning a trip to the mountains in a  couple of weeks.  I can't wait to go now that I can walk so much better than I could our last trip!!

Looks like a shopping trip is in store for you!  It sure is more fun shopping for clothes than ever before isn't it?  I'm having to get used to the fact that I can shop in different places.

I'm going to have to go shopping before it gets cold.  I only have the crop pants that I wore all summer and 1 pair of Kaki's and 1 pair of Jeans.  I have a lot of short sleeve shirts but no long sleeve.  My closet looks pitiful!!
I went to Belk's last week and bought a cute top for 5.00(a small!!).  I might go to Cato's next week and see if they have anything on sale or back to Belk's.  I can usually find some pretty good deals at Belk's.  I just have to have time to try everything on.
Where have you been shopping lately here?

I found some good deals at Peebles in Cordele on their sale rack.  I got 3 jackets (they were actually summer clothes) but they were dark colors and long sleeve, so that will do for me for the fall.  I would not have wanted them during the summer.  I picked up a few things at Penny's  and Belk's in Albany that were on sale.   I see Dr. Scott on Thursday if you need anything delivered to you family let me know and I'll take it for you.

Let me know what Dr. Scott/Kristen says!!  My parents are actually in the mountains this week.  I can't think of anything that needs to go to them.  We are going to meet my sister and her husband in Helen in a couple of weeks.  I can't wait.  I'm ready for a mini-vacation.
