Buying new Jeans
Well, a little advice to pass on.........
As you are going through this journey don't over buy new things or for that matter used things. I bought jeans less than a month ago at the used shop, knowing the weather would be cooling off soon. Went to wear a pair on Friday night, they were huge! I was thinking I must of picked up the wrong pair....no such luck! Had to shop again this weekend, but was smart this time ONLY picked out 2 pairs. I am wanting to stay where I am in size/weight, but I am not sure that will happen so I am not making the mistake of buying to many pairs!
I think the inches must be going away still.........I have been at 125 or 124.5 now for a few weeks. I hope to stay there. A size 5 is small enough for me. I have gone from a 16-18 down to a 5. My legs and bottom are all but gone, and they were my BIG areas!
I am very happy in my new body, its just hard some days to think back to the days before and remember that old me!

I've been so lucky that people have given me jeans along the way. I need to start looking for 12 and 14's at Goodwill because I'm headed that way now. A friend gave me a few pairs of 10s to hold on to.
In the last week I've bought several new tops because they are women's medium or large. I should be able to wear them all winter. But who the heck knows! This is the first that I've bought anything new except capri's to wear to the office. I need to run to Kohl's today for some black knit slacks to go with my new tops. When pants are on sale there, it's always under $20 and then I give them away.
LouLou, great job working your recovery. You must be so happy in your new body! :)

Luckily I had friends and DD that were smaller than me and I wore a lot of their clothes. Now I'm in a smaller size than they have and don't have any clothes to wear for fall and winter. I just packed up all their clothes to give back to them and to take to Goodwill today.
Looks like I need to make a shopping trip but I know what you mean. I hate to buy much because it will be too big quickly. I started out in a 22 and now am in a 10 but the behind and legs are look like someone moved out!! I actually bought a small shirt the other day and it fit perfect.
You have done a great job - congratulations.

I know that feeling! At Christmastime (just a couple of weeks post-op) I bought a pair of size 10 'goal jeans' at the Gap because they were having a great post-holiday promotion. I was pretty happy with my size in high school and pretty much always wore a 10 with the occasional 8...so I figured the 10 was a good goal.
Last night, I wore the same cut ot jeans in a size 6. They're VERY form fitting and the 8s are a little more comfortable, but still... I essentially bought one pair of jeans in each size and just washed them often. Throughout the process I've found that having clothes that fit and make me feel pretty helps me stay motivated and somehow having a great fitting pair of jeans is key.
