No junk in the trunk
I don't know about the padded undies, but I have the same issues. It hurts to sit for very long in the car or elsewhere that is not very soft. I have seen the tailbone cushions on line and think I need to order one for long trips, etc. We went to Savannah this past week and the ride was painful at times.

Linda, when I had lost a lot of weight on WW I got to the point that I couldn't sit at all. I tried cushions, shots, hard seats, soft seats. It was probably one of the most painful things I've ever had to deal with long term. Once I gained weight back the pain went completely away and I was dreading it happening after WLS, but fortunately my previous experience made me smart enough to baby it and I took sitting back on my tailbone seriously.
If it's not to bad try the pillows. Someone told me the neck rolls you use on airplanes work well. Try to baby it and maybe after awhile you will be able to sit on it. I know several people who have had to have their tailbones removed.

I had a lot of issues at first, but now I'm okay as long as I sit with good posture most of the time... so I do think this can resolve if it's just a bruising of the tailbone and it's not broken.

I agree with everyone here. Just take it easy. I have to switch sides every so often, I use pillowS too. I wish I had more in junk in my trunk too! I have always carried my weight in the front in my belly. Then loosing the weight I am even loosing more in my butt!! Urgghhh! The important part is that I am healthy!
