Thanks to all of your replies and encouragement last week when I found out about the 6 month dr. supervised diet!  Thanks also, for telling me to call my insurance and find out the stipulations!  I finally got put through to a supervisor and she is sooooo nice!  She said nothing in my insurance policy says anything about the 6 month wait!  They just need to know that I have been counseled on diets that I have have been working on my weight for more than 6 months.  My dr. just needs to write a letter stating that and that they recommend surgery!   WOW!  All of a sudden it sounds too easy!

She said as soon as she gets the letter and gets it approved she will call me first!  She sounds almost as happy about this as I am!

Okay, so now this is getting serious!  Yikes!

That is wonderful.  I didn't have to do a 6 month program either, but my Dr required 12 support session meetings before they would apply for insurance approval.  Check on all your surgeon's requirements also because they can give you hoops that the insurance doesn't.

I am really starting to get excited and realizing that it is really going to happen!  I read on here all the time but haven't posted much because I wasn't sure it was all going to fall into place.  I have already learned so much from all of you and feel like I know you!   I can't wait to be right there with you!

Linda, I did have the 2nd ablation on Aug. 24th and it worked this time.  After being off my heart meds for a few days, when I got to the hospital that morning for the ablation, I was 150 beats per minute and way out of rhythm, so they found the spot causing it pretty quickly.  It is amazing how much better I feel.  The dr. said give it about a month and then the WLS would be fine!  I can't wait!
