What a good reminder to be kind to myself. I appreciate your support Linda.

YAY Andrea!  You go girl.  That's a very impressive list you have there!  I think you've done a great job.  Please remember (coming from a scale watcher), that it's not how fast we get there, but where we are in 5 years.  So maybe your metabolism is forcing you to go slower, thereby building a better foundation that will hold you securely for the rest of your life.

Everything is as it's supposed to be.  I think one of the first lessons for us is to not compare.  In my support group, I always tell the pre-ops to take pictures, measure, build a support group, and don't compare their journey to anyone else.

Let's just hang on for the rest of the ride.  :)

Very good advice Lee. It is so important to learn not to compare ourselves to each other. I think what you are saying about it is where we end up in five years that makes the different.

Congrats on your 6 months! You didn't say it on your list, but you have probably also extended your life by many years! You will make it to where you want to be, and hopefully you will see it when you get there.

That is a very important reminder. I don't give myself enough credit at staying the course with the insane schedule I have.

Andrea,
We seem to be on the exact same path!!!!! We had surgery together and I've lost 52 lbs, 10 BMI points, etc., etc. I would also like to lose 40 more! It's a struggle with the lbs coming off so slowly but I do feel terrific!!!!! Keep me updated with your progress and I will do the same. Great job and its nice to know I'm not a freak!

Trooper1, it is very reassuring to know there is someone else out there having a very similar experince. Let's keep in touch to help each other stay inspired. Our journey is so similar.
