Fitness Challenge - September 3rd
It's Friday! Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah... and I'm not talking the protein bar type, though I do love them.
I'm working from home today so starting my day with a 3.5 mile walk with a WLS buddy. I may walk the lake again at lunchtime with a work buddy who's wants to meet me by the lake. I'll have to see. My ankle has been giving me a little grief this morning so I'll only commit to one walk to start.
I'm looking foward to the weekend. Tomorrow morning I'm hiking with my best friend. We're doing a big hike up in the Regional Park. I used to do this hike 20 years ago and it kicked my butt back then. I just remember lots of huge hills, dust, heat and immense need for hydration. I have no clue what it will be like tomorrow but this is my summer to challenge myself so I asked her to please do it with me. She's a very very fit size 0 and never gets out of breath or feels the hills, plus she's 15 years younger than me. I actually am very excited to see how I do. I really want to be adding hills and rough terrain to my walks/hikes.
Sunday I'm seeing another great friend who's in good shape. Not sure what we're doing. If it's just a road trip day like a trip to Napa, then I'll work out before we go.
I'll enlist someone to hike with on Monday too.
So that's how I'm planning ahead for optimal exercise fun! What's your plan for today? For the weekend? Are you off on Monday?

Thanks Lee! You are such a good Cheerleader/Coach!!! No formal exercise for me today, but I went grocery shopping and did my usual carry 1 bag in at a time up my steps, and still did my crunches. I'm trying to chill, but apparently I'm not that good at it anymore. DH will make me sit on my butt tonight for sure. I'm a little nervous, but I dont' know why. I just want to keep my regular pace and try not to overdo it in the first mile becuase of excitement. I'll let you guys know how it goes when I get home.
