I am right at 4 months out and have not been loosing any hair.  I hear you usually start loosing it at about 3 months....am I out of the woods?  Are there folks that just don't loose any hair??  Or do I still have this to go through??? I remain Optimistic but skeptical.  Jane

Nope, probably not over the hump.  Mine really started at 5 months and is coming out in huge handfulls these days.  Even my hairdresser can really see the difference.  At least it's summer, so I'm not counting on it to keep my brain warmed.  :)

It's so worth it and I wouldn't trade my 32 in waist for those hairs at all.

I LOVE my pound that is gone.  I hope to never see it again!  :)

You have plenty of time until Tuesday.  You'll drop something before then.  Keep the faith because you're doing fabulous!!

Hi Jane,
I was one of the fortunate ones that didn't have that side effect.  I have really thick short hair and a few strands fell out but not much.
I was on vitamins way before surgery and exercised.  I have no idea if that made a difference or not.
I just felt very luck.

Hi Jane,

I too thought I was out of the woods until just after my 6th month.  It started coming out and hasn't stopped at just under a year.  I used Neo Cell collagen (with Biotin as recommended to me) for two months before surgery, got all my protein in etc.  I use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner now and it;s not helping.  I think (hope) it may finally be slowing down.  I am lucky to have a lot of hair so I'm managing but I can't afford to lose much more.

Sorry to hear about your hair loss....so....I won't be surprised if I do start loosing hair even up to 6 months out.  Hope yours stops IMMEDIATELY, I'll be swinging lizzards for you.

Month 4 is when mine came out in handfuls.....month 5 not nearly as much. Hopefully you are one that doesn't lose any, but as Lee said, it's all worth it!
