My surgery is next Wed 9/8, I purchased a new robe to wear at the hospital - didnt want to wear my ratty one. Anyway, I realized this will be the last 1X size of clothing I have to buy. And, as I was sorting out my meds for next week, my surgeon is stopping several before surgery, so were I usually take 3 pills in the morning I am down to 1 and were I would took 5 at night I am taking two

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I bought big pajama pants to wear to the hospital too...they were falling off of me shortly after that.

Good Luck on your surgery!  It's amazing all the meds I was able to drop after surgery.  And the 1x's you'll be able to share with someone else real soon!

Oh dear, I hadn't even thought about a robe.  Now I have to go searching through my stuff and find something, or head to a thrift store.
Have a great surgery and an uneventful recovery.  I am a day behind you so save me a place on the loser's bench.

Robes are a nice bonus, but not necessary - the hospital should provide it.  Only bring one if it excites you to have it - if it's a burden, fhugeddaboutit.

I brought a pretty robe and a couple of maxi dresses (with built in support) to wear instead of the hospital gowns because a) I'm vain and b) I can't stand not wearing a bra.  I did wear them and felt better in them than those scratchy old gowns.  But again, I tie this to my vanity, not necessity at all!

YAY! Congrats on those victories!

I didn't take a robe and would not have worn it.  I was only in for one night and just wore the gown they provided.  I wore big flannel pants home from the hospital as well as a big shirt.  Didn't wear underwear or bra to the hospital and didn't wear it home either.  Really no need since you just go directly into the big girls gown.

Good luck.  You're just days away from surgery!!!

I am trying to decide what to wear home from the hospital. We have a 3 hour drive and I always have to stop once to use a bathroom. If I didnt I would wear my robe home.
