Thanks,Cindy. Luckily enough,we were leaving that morning and I had already packed my snack bag that I carry everywhere with string cheese, jerky, nuts, protein bars, water flavor packets. I had already mixed up my bottle of water and while the paramedics were getting DH ready for transport,I had the presence of mind to grab the bag and the bottle along with my purse. I ate from that bag for 4 days, lol between DS and I going out to get something. There was bottled h2o for us so I was in good shape.

Holly, it is good to hear from you.  I'm glad your DH is doing better and they can fix him up.  I had a friend that had the surgery on both sides of her neck and she is doing great now.  I hope DS continues to feel better.  Enjoy your time together and have a safe trip home.

Congratulations on the 4 pounds!!  That's great with all the stress going on in your life.  You can tell you didn't handle the stress with food.

Thanks,Linda. I was glad also that I didn't need to medicate myself with food. Food really didn't interest me any more then than it did before or now. That is a real blessing!

At this point,we are hoping to avoid any surgery on the area as long as possible. We feel blessed to have found out so early.

Hi Holly,

I was wondering where you'd gotten off to.  If feels like forever since you've posted.  I'm sorry that DH and DS have had their share of problems.  I'm so glad that you were able to be there and it sounds like you've taken good care of yourself.  That's really terrific and you should be proud of yourself!

So sorry to hear of all your travails but sounds like you have weathered the proverbial storm really well.  Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your DH and DS.

If it's any comfort, the weather in Nashville has been AWFUL up until this week so you haven't missed anything good that way.  I'd love to get away before my surgery but that is not looking too likely.

Take care!

Hey Lee,
Thanks so much for your encouragement and support! I do feel pretty good that I was able to remember my needs even in the face of making sure DH's needs were being met. Having almost 6 months of remembering to take care of myself and keeping my snack bag packed and remembering to take it everywhere with me sure came in handy!
