Good Morning. Ok Earl, where's my rain?

How can we have a hurricane coming up the coast of NC and VA yet DC has clear skies projected all weekend? My grass is crispy! It needs rain and cooler temps. Come on Earl, dump it on us! I really wouldn't mind walking in the rain for a few days. I like walking in the rain!

What is your mindless rant for the day?

Today is so humid! It made it tough to run this morning...but this weekend is supposed to be in the low 70's and beautiful! You can keep your rain, I have a lot of outdoor activities planned :)

Not much to rant about, except for the fact that I am so crazy busy right now I feel like my head is spinning! I have the normal everyday stuff, eating and drinking and working out, and now DH working tons of overtime, kids in school/daycare, full time school for myself, applying to 3 nursing programs (which all have different requirements for admission)...the list goes on. Throw the fact that I am OCD, super organized and clean, and it makes for a stressful time.

No rantings this a.m., just same old, same old...trying to stay busy at work (has been better lately)...and as much bridge as I can get in.  Looking forward to long week-end (means more bridge).  Going to see Rick Springstein Sat night (whoever he is....)  Gotta fix something for a pot-luck bridge lunch Mon...have no idea what to fix... any suggestions?

The weather has cooled off just a little here in Mphs...low 90s all week...and a break in the humidity...a hint of fall in the morning air!!!

Good Morning!

I'm seeing my surgeon today for my 6 month follow-up.  He wanted me to be overweight but I'm still obese.  178.2 on the scale this morning. GRRRRR.  I need to be 174.9 to be overweight.  Appointment isn't until 1:30 and I get weighed with clothes on so tack on another couple pounds.  GRRRRR  I have to just let go of not meeting the challenge.  I doubt he'll be disappointed in me, but I am.  I've done everything that I can with exercise since May 27th when I saw him last.  2-3 hours a day is all that is possible for me with a 9 hour a day job as well.  So the tape in my head says... if you had 2 protein shakes and 1 meal you'd be there... blah blah blah...

I read threads about how the first 6 months are the easiest to lose and this six months has felt near impossible for me.  Makes me wonder what the next six months will be.  Maybe I'm a$$ backwards and the second six months will be easier!!

Next.....

Hi Gina!  I just hope it holds off until I fly out tomorrow...

The temps at home this weekend are going to be just AWFUL.  Saturday's highs are 61 with rain and wind - that's miserable... Sunday will be 68 with sun, but Sat is the motorcycle event...

I decided I couldn't afford the extra $400+ to stay the long weekend - and that's WITHOUT the shopping - LOL....
