 Good Morning Movers!!

I can't believe it's September and today is going to be the 2nd hottest day in my town.  Hard to believe.  What the heck was it waiting for?

I have a favorite slogan that I learned in OA 20 years ago and I think it really resonated about exercise.

Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail.

So let's all keep making our plans on how to get moving.  I know I feel so much better when i do and feel like a slug when i don''t.  I NEVER thought I'd say that but a summer of moving has really changed me.

I'm getting a late start this morning because I was still awake at 1am so this is a mini-down day for me.  Here's my plan of action.

Walk to work - 15 minutes
Walk at lunchtime - 30 minutes
Walk home - 15 minutes

Tonight is my WLS support group at Kaiser which is 45 minutes away in traffic.

So what's the plan today???   Rosa, so glad you decided to join us here.  I hope you can walk today!

Any updated on Diana??

I've only gotten 2 walks in today and 40 push-ups. Too hot to do much more.

You did good Gina.  It's going to cool down soon enough.

My plan was to run today, but it was pouring down rain. So after school I walked on the treadmill with an incline and did my crunches and push-ups. I'm going to run in the morning, I want to do it one last time before the race Saturday.

Shannon, race day is so close!  You've done a great job training for it.  I wish I was going to be there to watch you come over the finish line!

I am getting so excited and nervous! I can't wait. My mom and dad are going to come and of course my husband and kids.

Hi Lee, I'm here and very sore but back in the saddle...lol

I didn't expect to stay overnight let alone 2 nights. Morphine and I did not get along at all. I had so many bad headaches like my head was going to explode. I rated the pain on the headaches a 10 along with the pain of surgery a 10...they couldn't understand why I was getting the headaches and it was the nurse that said it may be related to the morphine.

But...anyways, I did laps in the hospital yesterday and today. I am on the couch right now and the only exercise I have planned are trips to the bathroom. :)

Diana, I'm so glad that you're checking in.  I'm so sorry that you and the morphine had that nasty run-in.  You'll feel so much better when it's out of your system.

Heck, after surgery, I consider the remote control a work-out!  You're getting extra exercise going to the potty!  :)

Welcome back and please take good care of yourself.

I did Curves this morning.  I was there in time to get weighed and measured for Sept so I did since I won't be back for a while.  I had lost another 4 inches, yahoo.

Price,  FOUR inches is a lot!!  You go girl.  You are getting so well prepared for surgery.  I'm starting to look for critters to swing for you!
