New and Frustrated!
Hello All:
I have been lurking and reading all your wonderful posts since before my surgery on July 6th. I feel like I know all of you even though you don;t know me.
Anyway, I had my RYN on July 6th. My starting weight was 211. The problem is, I have only lost 15 pounds!
I feel this surgery hasn't worked for me at all! I am back to the same weight that I always plateau at, ever getting past this point.
Do you know anyone this hasn;t worked for eventually? I saw my doctor yesterday and he told me that it will come off in time.
I am seriously going out of my mind here! Any help or advice is appreciated!

I think your body is rebelling but you're going to win. Stay with your protein, fluids and vitamins--you will prevail, babeee!

Hang in there - it will happen.
Try posting on Menu's and Miles to let everyone see what you are eating/drinking. You never know when a tip from someone might really help you along the way.
Are you able to do any exercise? You might want to join Lee on the fitness post each day.
Can you get your water down? Does your surgeon want you to do protein drinks?
Under 200 - that is a great accomplishment - congratulations.

Hang in there jbonbon!
It will happen. We all lose at different rates and most us have have stalls.
If you are following the rules, it is only a matter of time before the weight comes off.
15 pounds in 2 months sounds pretty good to me!
Are you taking your measurements? Do your clothes fit differently?
Are any health conditions improving?
Try to find some positives that are not just the number on the scale!

Hello, some people are slower losers then others. Your surgery weight was 10lbs lighter then mine. I just celebrated my six month "surgerversary" today and have lost 42 lbs. That averages out at about 6lbs per month with most of it happening the first three months. Then I started gaining and losing the same 3 lbs for about 3 months. This nearly drove me out of my mind thinking I had failed my surgery.
I recently started losing again and during this time my body composition was changing, I was losing sizes, inches and gaining muscle. So stay the course and try not to get down on yourself. I spent way too much time and energy on that.
You'll do great!
