What if I lose too much weight before surgery?

Wow, I could've written a lot of that myself a few months ago.  I was a BMI of just over 40 when I started the process with no co-morbids.... another healthy fat girl, lol.  They go by the weight at your initial consult.  I got a lot of the same reactions from people "you're not fat enough..." which is why I barely told anyone.  By the day of surgery I'd lost 34 lbs and was down to a BMI of just over 35.  I got the sleeve just over three weeks ago, so far I'm loving it!  Good luck with all of the insurance stuff!

Please make sure you get your height measured at your doctor's office don't go by what you think... I had mine done and I'm shorter than I thought which changed my BMI... I am pre-op, too. Got pre-certified.. now going to a 6 m required class and have to lose 24 pounds and not gain. So far so good... one class down.

Keep good records of the process and you can make this happen.

good luck!
