Nutrition Label Accuracy?
All this stuff is estimates anyway. Even the weight on the package if it's a pre-printed label. I try not to get too obsessed over it. Some say an egg has 6 grams of protein, some places say 7 grams. I just whatever the label says, if there is a label, and guess if there isn't.

Bakery aisle . The butter buds area lot more buttery and less salty than the competitor , Molly Mc Butter . The boxes are by far the best value .. when i see them i grab the whole darn shelf full .
They are simply real butter thats been run through a freeze dry extractor , separating the butter solids ( which give the flavor ) from the butter fat .
When i am making a recipe that needs real butter mouth feel - I use a mixture of butter buds and promise fat free margarine ( NOT ALL PROMISE IS FAT FREE - the fat free is GREEN ) its good enough to pass as real butter even on bread !
( makes awesome fat free garlic bread for you non- carb avoiders lol)

Thanks for the recipe Ava. I'll give it a try but I'll use butter. i don't use much but I do use real products. That was one of my decisions was to use butter or olive oil and just learn to use in moderation. I hope I don't have to change that as i get closer to goal.

For those of us with Thyroid issues, we need to be careful with soy. We don't need to ignore it completely but limit our intake to small amounts. That's why I don't use soy protein or soy milk. I will use soy sauce because we don't do anything Chinese all that often and a bottle goes an awful LONG way in this house, LOL
Here is some of the research I found:
Endocrine-disrupting chemicals: experts debate health threats
Defined as chemicals that interfere with hormone biosynthesis, metabolism and action, EDCs are found in everything, from the obvious — pesticides and building materials — to the less obvious — fabrics used for clothes, furniture, food and beverage containers.
Lundblad said although many think of exposure to EDCs as a consequence of environmental contamination by industrial chemicals such as BPA, there is also exposure from a variety of natural substances with endocrine activities; for example, phytoestrogens found in soy-based food products.
Thyrotropin/Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Measurement
Ideally L-T4 should be taken before eating; at the same time of day and at least 4 hours apart from any other medications or vitamins. Many medications can influence T4 absorption/metabolism (especially Cholestyramine, Ferrous Sulfate, Soy Protein, Sucralfate, antacids containing Aluminum Hydroxide, anticonvulsants or Rifampin).
Yes, there is a Reuters report saying there was a clinical study of low amounts of soy being beneficial but I can't find the study and it's not mentioned on the endocrinology site or as a medical study on the medscape site, just as a Reuters article.
And like I said, we still use low amounts of soy in our lives. Just be careful in the amounts you use if you have thyroid issues.
