 im guessing the carbs come from the modified food starch and sweetener alcohols .  

Very interesting though....I can see even though its LOW how easily  miscounting or misunderstanding carbs could tip U over from a fatty atkins type protein based no carb weight losing diet to a weight gainer one .... just on " hidden"carbs alone ....

Very similar to hidden fats actually !!! 

GRRRR .   Still it seems the old saw is right ..... U cant go wrong with fruit , vegetables and the leanest  proteins in their natural form....

the second U allow processed foods to enter the picture or just  " free" sweet tastes Ure simply asking for trouble ......

the PROBLEM is living on plain water , sliced turkey breast and fat free dairy alone ...... and fruit and veggies ..... Yummy that they are ..Ava wants a cookie .. gosh darn it ..... and then bread , and sauce , amd sweet drinks ... and .....
