NSV prior to surgery

Today, I went to have my blood drawn for pre-op lab work. The lab tech didn't have to change arms, warm my hand, or draw the blood from my hand. First attempt worked!!!!!!

In April, when I had blood drawn, the tech tried both arms without success and finally resorted to warming my hand, before drawing the blood. 27 lbs lost have already made a huge difference!!! I felt really good after that.

My head cold seems to be getting better and my energy level is slowly improving. I am feeling more positive that the surgery will go ahead on Monday, 8.30.10. I have to message the surgeon tomorrow, to let him know how I am doing. I think the results will be positive!!!!

Good for you! I have a feeling you're going to have to lower your WL goal. Maybe 105 or 110. What do you think?

LOL!!!!! I was thinking of possibly, 115, but 105 or 110 seems low for someone my age. I am 56, almost 57. But, if my body wants to go that low, I'll take it!!! The sleeve may allow me to get lower than 120. I picked 120, because that seemed reasonable to me, and it was the lower end of my surgeon's range.

On my scale at home,  I am actually below 183, but I will update the ticker with my weight at surgery. I have increased my calories a bit and not being as rigid, and my weight keeps dropping slowly. Amazing.

How exciting! You surgery is finally almost here! I used to get poked a million times too, I have my next round of bloodwork next month and I believe it will be easier since veins are poking out all over the place now!

I am doing better, although, I was tired today. My congestion is just about gone and it never reached my lungs, so I feel good about that. I sent a secure message to the surgeon this am, but never heard back. Must have been a busy day.

I am drinking plenty of fluids, but my appetite has been down and I have dropped a couple of more pounds. I'll get my exercise this weekend by doing laundry and doing more cleaning of my place. Some things aren't going to get done. I just have to pace myself.

I am excited about Monday and I don't feel that nervous about the surgery, because it is the right thing to do.

Thanks for your kind words.

Your weight loss is coming along well. =).
