I had RNY March 17 and personally wanted to lose 90-100#.  So far I have lost 70#.  The last 6 weeks it has been a lot slower.

RNY Jan 2009.  I've lost 103 lbs.   Maintenance is difficult, but worth it!   At my first consultation I weighed 248, surgery day I weighed 235 and I'm now right around 145 every day, give or take a couple of pounds.  I need to get a new picture on here - this one is a year old!  Also need to update my ticker.  I haven't been on here for a long time.
Consult:   248        Day of Surgery:   235         Current:   145

Surgeon's Goal:  140         My Goal:  135

Surgery October '08 - I had 90-100 lbs to lose - I lost 93 to get to goal which was 125.   I had lost as low as 121 at one point, but bounced back up to 125-126 range.  I'm doing my best to maintain this and needing to change some of my eating habits.

Dr initially wouldn't give me a goal - but eventually said 115.  Yes, that may be what I should have went for, but we compromised at 125.  I hit that August of '09.  I didn't have the problem most do with losing the last few pounds slowly... so I'm thinking that I could have gone lower, but when I hit 125 I just STOPPED.  Then 4 months later I lost another 3... and in April of this year I started putting a few pounds back on.

Weight has distributed quite a bit since then. Not sure how happy I am about where some of it went, but not sure how much I can do about it.  So - back on track to see what I CAN do about it.

I had RnY and have lost a total of 72 lbs.  I have 8 more lbs to surgeons goal and 18 to mine.  Though I will say I so totally delighted in what I have already lost!

In October it will be 2 years since my RNY.  My Doctor's goal was 50 lbs. but my personal goal was 75.  I started at 203 and dropped to 106 but only stayed there a few days so I don't claim the extra 3 pound loss (97).  I bounce between 109 and 112 and I claim 94 pounds loss.  My skinny friends say the 3 pounds up or down on a daily basis is equal to one big CRAP!!!  I think they are right!!!

I had RNY 8/3/09.  I have lost 104 pounds as of this morning.  I have 4.5 more to go to my surgeon's goal and I would like to lose another 15-20 after that to have some bounce back.

I haven't been a faithful exercise person so I might could have lost more if I had been more consistent.  I'm happy where I am.  It is a lot slower now.

VSG (verticle sleeve) lost 60 pounds and keeping it off!!!!

I'm 5'2" short.  Started at 178 pounds and now weigh 118. I lost all the weight in 6 months and I have been keeping it off since then.  I can eat anything I want just in much smaller portions.

Love my sleeve!!

Good Luck to everyone!!!!
