A strange man bought me lunch today....
What a strange afternoon I had. I drove 15 miles to go return a few things that I recently bought at macy's. It's so darn hard to buy clothes now. GRRRRR
Anyhow, to get to the point...
There's a Hofbrau that I used to love in my previous life. They had the best cuts of meat and the mac and cheese was to die for. So while I'm out at the mall, I realize that the Hofbrau is only blocks away. I've been craving turkey since I saw them eating it in Eat, Pray, Love on Friday night.
So I zip in there to get a turkey wing (ala carte). There was a nice looking man in front of me in line. He ordered a fairly healthy meal. When they asked him jello or ice cream he went for jello and leaned over to tell me that he has ice cream at home and eats junk food all the time. I told him that I'm on a very healthy eating plan but had a big craving for turkey wing. He said it was very impressive that I turned down the taters and gravy etc. He said it's hard being single and cooking for himself to eat healthy all the time. He mentioned single a few times.
When we got to the register he asked the cashier to add my dinner to his tab. I told him that it wasn't necessary but he said he was so happy to see me eating healthy that he wanted to treat me to it.
It seemed like every other sentence included "Praise the Lord" or I probably would have given him my phone number. I don't think that I would have been a good match... being Jewish. :)
It was a nice interaction, but when i got home, two bites of turkey and I had to dump it. What the heck was I thinking?
Did I mention that just this morning I was telling a girlfriend that I think I'm ready to start dating again? Hmmmmm..... the universe lining up for me?

You're right about believe in God, but I think that people who are serious about their Christianity are not generally into "Jewish" girls.
I doubt I'll bump into him again since I only go there about once a year and probably even less now.
I think the interesting part of it all was just talking about my interest in men again, and wham, there's a man being very nice to me.
