Attention, please. Time to chime in on vitamins!
Have you taken your vitamins today? Have you been taking them according to plan? What are your tricks for remembering to take them?
I put hubby's and my vitamins in weekly pill sorters. He has 3 and I have 4. I have one for my morning batches, one for my evening batches and 2 for all the calcium, iron and such I take at work. I get these all ready for the upcoming week on Sunday afternoon. GNC had some daily pill carriers that fit right in your pocket or purse...really cheap like 99 cents. I fill one up for DH and me every evening to take to work the next morning. Getting into a rut or routine helps us remember.

Yep - I took them
I had rearranged the cabinets and put them on a shelf by themselves. Now they're behind a door I tend to forget them, but getting better about it. BUT - IF I forget them I'll always take them when I get home from work.
I hadn't been good about taking my calcium or iron - calcium in pills just wasn't working for me. Now I've got the BA lozenges and chocolate chewies - I like both of them and will now take them. I'm getting better with my iron - my problem is the timing to make sure I haven't eaten any forbidden foods before/after I take it.

Hi Gina, I have a small cup sitting on my bathroom sink...yes Sandy and I have our own bathrooms.....every morning I walk in and see that cup and I just open up the cabinet fill the cup with the vitamins and use a Dixie cup for water. Ta Da I'm then done till bed time and just repeat the same. I then walk out to the kitchen and make up a protein shake.... Now if I have an appt. I might forget the shake but seldom does that happen. Same at night I just take the shake to the bed and drink it before going to sleep. Works for me so I been keeping it up.
I use the teeny tiny containers that come with sets of tupperware (that are no good for anything else). Each of us has our own DH and I for vitamins, DD's take gummi vites and one is on ADHD medication. I fill them each morning immediately after we take them. I take my first batch at 4:45 when I get up, then the next batch at 7 while the kids eat breakfast. Then I'm done except for my 2nd prilosec right before dinner.
I do good taking my vitamins as I am suppose to. I have them out on the counter in my kitchen so when I fix my breakfast & lunch for the day I remember them.
I use the weekly pill organizer and fill it up on the weekend for the next week. I put my calcium chews(6 a day) in small zip lock snack bags and do about a months worth at a time, then I just grab a baggy every day to take to work with me.

Yes Ma'am, I'm taking my vitamins.
It's a little more confusing now with the thyroid meds early morning.
I take my Protonix, B12, Dry D3 (which was up to 86 on last week's blood test), B complex and zinc in the morning.
At work I have gummy vites, BA lozenges and chocolate chews for citrate. I take them out in the morning and know to split them morning and afternoon.
My iron is going down so now I have the BA iron chews (yummy) to take in the evening.
I need to get going on the Biotin. *sigh*
My counter looks like crap with all these darn bottles. Good thing I live alone.

Did you have to say gummies??????? I know they taste good but with all the other good stuff you take, why not take a worthwhile multi? The gummies really dont' have all the vitamins and minerals that you need. I really recommend that you take centrum silver either tablets or chewables. The chewables if you go that route, taste really good.
