bread
I cannot eat bread...it hurts my stomach...i eat even a bit and my stomach hurts and burns...
it's weird and kinda sad but reallly not because it's not good for me...but it smells so good sometimes...does any one else have this? It's not an acid thing...other things are fine and my stomach doesn't hurt otherwise...oh hamburger is a total nonononono....oh and 4 1/2 months out
50 pounds down...15 to go....it's real slow now because my BMI is normal....SEAVIEW

Meat is harder on my stomach than bread is. I don't generally eat bread, but I did it some while I was in France in June. Isn't it amazing the different things that will annoy our little Sleeves? Mine dislikes chicken breast, tuna fish, dense pork or beef. It seems happiest with soft fish like salmon, and white fishies. I do okay with shrimp if it isn't overcooked. Sliced lunch meat is worse than eating an anchor. I think I'd prefer to be vegetarian like I used to be but for now it's whatever meat Sleevie will tolerate. I'm 6 months out, so it's just a learning curve. I think I'm turning more to protein shakes these days, just because it's easier and I love eating salad and cheese. I do fine with hamburger and I'm liking the new Trader Joe's Chicken Pattie made from thigh meat.

Hi Seaview! Great work. You are doing fantastic.
I haven't found anything that I cannot tolerate out of the things I have tried. But, I do have to say that I have not had any carbs other than what is in my protien shakes and the vegetables I eat.
I am too chicken to even try any of the things that got me to my breaking point.
Keep up the good work and you will be at goal in no time.

I can tolerate bread - the real question is SHOULD i be eating it at all ?
What i DO eat is almost always whole grain , fat free and FRESH . I get into trouble with clever weight loss promoting items like Arnold s flat breads ironically ...theyre a bit to processed for me .... and I see it on the scale the next day ....
whereas an honest piece of whole grain bead ( costco makes great whole wheat sourdough bread ) with fat free " butter " ( promise fat free margarine mixed with one envelope butter buds - yum!! ) is both filling and soul satisfying in a very non- dieting indulgent but healthy way 4 me .
This weekend on the boat i also baked and ate a variety of sugar free fat free desserts - ricotta cheesecake, cranberry/ orange bread , carrot cake, fat free brownies . Of course everything i make is fat free and virtually sugar free ..... but still they ae certainly INDULGENCES .
Im not sure wether it was the red wine I had two out of four days ...but i ended up skinnier for the first time after a weekend cooking YAY .. as long as I can cap the weight under 130 and keep it there without having to do exercise handsprings every darn day ..I'm HAPPY .
Today that looks POSSIBLE YAY
