Sorry, your surgeon was being such a PITA. Maybe a letter to him telling him you did not appreciate being yelled at like a child and saw that as unprofessional.
And yes, it is possible the insurance company will not approve the charges if you are below on the day of surgery. Did you remind him of that?
I know I am trying not to fall below a 35 BMI just to be safe.
