Hi Roz!  Hopefully the upcoming week will be more relaxed for you.

My daughter had 2 job offers last week.  They're both part time so she's weighing it very carefully...

No idea really what I'll be eating today.  No plans...  I did well yesterday but did drink a bit of wine... going to a wine festival will do that to you!

B - coffee and a protein coffee
S - cashews
L - sauteed zucchini/muschrooms/green beans
S - glass of milk
D - 2 pieces of fried perch and a beer
S -

vits - yep
water - working on it
miles - not sure yet

That's great about your daughter.  I held out for full-time but the part time jobs my son-in-law took gave him the extra training to find a good full-time job.

I bet you did good Jody even around the wine.  I've found that even if I eat something that I shouldn't it isn't possible for me to over do it.  By the time my tummy feels like eating more the urge to overdue it is gone. I know in the past that being at the hospital all day would mean many trips to the cafeteria.  I swear it practically called my name....LOL

You're right - I did do well.  I had ribs and cornbread for dinner.  It was a perfect size for me - about 4-5 ribs and the cornbread was very small piece.  I ate the ribs first, then picked at the cornbread.  I made sure I ate something filling before drinking much.  I knew a carby dinner was out of the question for me.  I've had too many episodes of eating carbs and drinking wine or beer.  Didn't want to go through that...

Actually, she's ok with them being part time for now.  It will just be a matter of time before she's called back to her old job. This will help her keep her certification and make the transition back much easier.  The one part time job is 30 hours a week and the other 10.  She wanted to take 3 months off after the baby's born but it doesn't look like that's going to happen now.  They want her to start NOW if she can...  she's let them know she's not interested in that.  It would mess up her unemployment while she's off on maternity leave and they wouldn't pay her for being off.

I don't think she's going to stop looking though.... I've told her she needs to keep her options open.

If it's not as much money as she made at the job she got layed off from, I don't think she has to take it.  I think it has to be the same type of job and the same type of pay.  If it's not she should check on that.

No - she knows she doesn't have to take it, but it will still be a little more than what unemployment will pay her for the month.

I just hope she realizes how expensive a baby will be - and if she has to pay daycare costs, then she's in the hole already - but we've talked about that and she thinks shes got a good hold on it.  The place she will take the job from is real close to her inlaws and her sister/brother in law so she can get a babysitter from them if the hours overlap with her hubbies.

Guess they have to work some of this out for themselves.  If she took the 10 hour a week job she would qualify for underemployment.

I've learned that I can only give advice and sometimes they take and sometimes they don't.

Happy Sunday everyone.  After a rainy day all day yesterday, the sun is shinning.
Day 16 of optifast
Dinner, since the guys will be gone bowling and I am only cooking for me,  eggs scrambled with onion, peppers and tomatos.  At the farmers market yesterday they had peaches, pears and apples so I'm not sure which I will have for desert.

Our weather has been beautiful this weekend.  We got a 2 minute sprinkle but that's it.  There is a nice breeze today.
