Thyroid Medication Questions
You are on a very tiny dose but from what my Endo told me the generics tend to have more side effects than the brand names. I only take brand name - Thyroid is the one drug I refuse to take generic - my Endo says there is a difference. It does seem to soon for them to be working yet though. If the symptoms continue after a week or 2, call your doctor.
They do say to take apart from all other medications. I will say that I have taken it with protonix in the past and had no problems. You can definitely lie down after taking - I take it every morning and go back to bed. I take 88mcg of Synthroid and 5 mcg of Cytomel.
Good luck and feel free to PM me with any other questions.

Lee, we are on the same dose and same meds. This is what my Dr told me to do. Have your meds next to your bed, when you get up take the pill, try and take a full glass of water ( i get in a 1/2) then make sure you don't eat anything or take any meds until at least a hour after you take your pill. She told me I could take it at night, but she doesn't think it works as well for most people since you need it on a empty tummy. Once I started taking mine and not eating or drinking anything bu****er for a hour things started to feel better for me! Let me know what works...
Lee, My Dr told me water only for a hour after the pill. sometimes I do drink something before a hour is up....but I try not to, Now that I have been on mine for over a year....I can feel a difference when I do drink something other than water. So, this being said...try only water.
Hope this helps...Loulou
