WOW! Am I really going to stop???
Weighed this morning 113lbs. I am down another 1.6 lbs since last Wednesday. I went to target tonight trying to find some comfy dress clothes for work. Dress pants are still uncomfortable since the hernia surgery. I tired on an adorable soft comfy skirt in X-Small. TOO BIG! I have gone from one extreme to another. A year ago I couldn't find anything big enough now I can not find stuff that is small enough.
My doctor thought I was done at 122lbs. That was 4 weeks ago. I brought this to his attention at my last appointment. He said not to worry unless I started losing my hair or my nails stopped growing. He said you look great. You will eventually stop I promise. Nobody at work can believe how small I am. I am the brunt of skinny jokes now. Seems really weird.
How will you know when you are about to stop losing??? How do you level yourself off??? I don't want to look sickly.

What I did and what you probably shouldn't do is add trail mix. If I were you, I'd add another protein shake or 2. I think your surgeon is right. Keep maximum vitamins, fluids and protein going in and you should stabilize and not look sick.

Ok, I'm in the same boat as Danielle, and have added a shake, added more almonds, added more veggies, and lost more weight.
I've talked to my surgeon and my PCP, and they both tell me that I am healthy, and simply have a much smaller body type than anyone ever thought.
Nevertheless, I wish I could take some of Ava's unwanted pounds and put them back on my shoulders and face!

You can have some of mine! I wish I had the problem you guys are - I'm having to fight to keep the weight off, or only gain a few lbs. I know I don't always eat the best, but for the most part I do ok.... I definitely know my honeymoon period is over.

Thanks, Jody. That's part of what I keep telling myself: I will have some bounce back gain, and if I start gaining NOW, when that happens I'll really be in trouble!
So I'm just hanging on for the ride, and wondering where I'll wind up!

If you are 5'1", 115 and have a small frame, it is doubtful that you are unhealthily thin. I say that because I'm 5'0.5", 115 and have a small frame and I am not. I'm just about perfect where I am.
OTOH, my body most certainly didn't know what it was doing and had me stop when I got to a good weight. I was in a diet rut and was eating as few calories as possible while still having energy to workout. My hunger was dulled because of that and I was continuing to lose 1-2 pounds a week even though I really needed more calories to maximize my athletic performance.
As a result, I actually had to actively add calories to my diet to get my weight loss to stop. Once I did that, my body and brain got out of losing mode and my hunger kicked back in to keep me at a good body weight. I also was able to gain some muscle (which really isn't possible when you are in extreme calorie deficit), which was very welcome.
Now I feel more like my body knows what it's doing, but before it got to that point, I had to approach it more intellectually by doing what I thought was right for it and not what it was telling me to do.
