How long?
I know I am still new to all of this, but getting a little frustrated.
I just cant seem to get everything into my pouch that I am supposed too.
I get my fluids, but fall a little short on the protein, or end up with some of my vitamins left at the end of the day. I never seem to be able to fill all of my requirements.
Am I being too hard on myself at this point? Will it be a little easier in the future?
Right now I can only manage about 3 to 4 tablespoons of anything solid.
I still cant find a protein powder that I like. I have tried atleast 15 from vitalady and not one yet has settled in my pouch very well, except for the plain unjury in my soup or I made some hi protein jello.
I guess my real concern is that , If I dont get this down, I could suffer some real physical complications and dont want to do that. Thanks for listening.

I had the same issue when I was around 3-4 weeks out, especially when I returned to work, when my lack of focus on food made it harder to get everything in.
At 4 weeks out, I categorically stopped shakes and resolved to eat all of my protein because I kept throwing them up. After a few days, I was able to pull it off by focusing on eating the foods I knew I could get down in sufficient quantities. It meant less variety, initially, but at least it stopped the vomitous shakes!
Good luck. This will get better.

Maria,
In the beginning I did double milk to get in a lot of my protein. 8 ozs of fat free milk with non-fat dry milk added to it. I also put this in the Diet Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate. I had this 3 times a day for about a month I think.
I use the Syntrex Nectars - Lemon Tea & Fuzzy Navel are my favorites. I use 20 ozs of water with 1 scoop of protein and add a Crystal lite stick to it Shake well and add ice. It is not too strong, but it would probably take you a while to drink it.
Hang in there it will get easier.

Hi Maria,
It will get easier. I didn't worry too much about the protein in the beginning because my plan didn't allow supplements. I just concentrated on the full liquids and vitamins. I think everyone goes through a rough patch trying to figure it all out.

Ohhhh Maria - I think I was about a month out before I managed to hi****er/protein/vitamin targets more than every other day, and at your stage, I was lucky to hit them twice a week!
Hang in there, it WILL get better.
