Thanks for the swinging lizards. Nobody else got laid off

The economy is so bad. It seems to be every where. Yesterday was our first day back at school. Luckily our jobs were protected this year but our principal told us during the meeting to look around and unless they found more funding that at least 3 of us would be let go by next year. She said there was not a teacher shortage anymore and we all needed to teach to the best of our ability and that she would be looking at a lot of different things to decide who stayed and who left. It would not be based on how long we had taught, no one was exempt, etc. So much for the warm fuzzy day I had hoped for. I came home so upset I went to bed at 6:45 and woke up this morning. Feeling your pain. I will pray for you all. Take care and God bless.
